In commemorating their 12th years, ISS crew will stay and work there. NASA released a web apps to give information when ISS will pass above you. You’ll be given information a few hours before ISS passed.

1. Visit this page:

http://spotthestation.nasa.gov

2. Fill in your country and city where you live. Unfortunately, for Indonesia, it only supports Banda Aceh, Denpasar, Jakarta, Sukabumi, and Surabaya.

3. Fill in your email, and select do you want information when ISS pass in early morning, evening, or both.

4. Tick both option and click on “I Agree.”

5. Click on confirmation link in email, then click on Process Code.

6. Alert will be active.

Now, a few hours before ISS satellite pass your city, a notification will be sent to you. You can prepare to watch the satellite. Eventhough ISS can be seen in the afternoon, but it’s seen clearer in the night.

In addition of using NASA’s web apps, you can use Android apps, which is “ISS?”. In ISS application for Android, even you can find out about ISS orbital line via maps, 50 minutes before and 50 minutes after ISS passed. If the line crossed the “blue” area, it is the sign that you can see ISS from your home.
