Opera Mini 6 for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch Released, Is This Really Fast Browser??

Yesterday Opera has just released Opera Mini 6 web browser for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch device. They claim this new version is 6 times faster when used to browsing especially when used on slower or crowded networks. But is this really fast browser?

Opera Mini 6 for iOS device (iPad, iPhone and iPod touch) created especially for you who used slow crowded network, away from Wi-Fi or when data roaming. It speed up your browsing experience by compress data up to 90% on Opera server before download it to your device. It will make your browsing speed loads lightning fast. It also synchronize your bookmarks and speed dial with your Opera browser on your Desktop or other mobile phones.

In Opera mini 6 for iOS, there are several improvements on its features such as:

1. It has a new design with a fresh new look and feel.

2. Smooth zoom and panning feature.

3. Opera mini 6 support iPhone 4 retina display, iPad and iPad 2.

4. You could share on facebook, twitter and my opera directly from opera mini 6.

5. For non latin languages user such as Arabic, Chinese and Vietnamese, now you could get better font support in your language.

6. You could open new page in background tab.

Like what you’ve read above, this Opera Mini 6 for iOS update mostly focus on design improvements. The core features seem still “untouch”.

But there still found several problems with Opera Mini 6 for iOS when used on iPad or iPad 2. It often shows a mobile version of website instead of it’s original version. This is little bit funny because iPad or iPad 2 is a tablet PC and not an old flip mobile phone :D

I think Opera should fix this problems on their next updates. But when I tried it on my iPhone, Opera Mini 6 working great without any problems at all. You can download Opera Mini 6 Web Browser for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad here.

There are other browsers better than this. Dual Browser is the most use.
I actually have no complaints about the app. It’s simple, it does what it’s advertised, and does it well without crashing (although that depends on how many apps you’re using). I’m a multitask-er and I’m so glad Dual Browser exists in the app store; now I stream my cricket matches on one side of the screen while I catch up on the news every morning I don’t feel the restriction of having just ONE display anymore that being the iPad
Download Dual Browser for $1.99 if you have an iPad you won’t regret it if you’re a multitask-er like me or just need two websites open at a time! http://itunes.apple.com/es/app/dual-browser/id380640600?mt=8
    Lite Version available:http://itunes.apple.com/es/app/dual-browser-lite/id412415114?mt=8
