Several days ago, Adobe has released security update for Adobe Flash Player. It because Adobe find an exploit risk to old-version Adobe Flash Player users. But I find some feedbacks from visitors that the latest Adobe Flash Player version 11.3.300.257 often get crash when it is used with Mozilla Firefox. Did you experience it too?
If your Adobe Flash Player had crash often when it is used in Mozilla Firefox, here is solution to overcome it:
1. Open notepad with “Run As Administrator” mode.
2. Click on File -> Open, then open mms.cfg file in this folder:
If you use Windows 32bit:
If you use Windows 64bit:
Make sure that you select “All Files” in File Type menu. Watch Screenshot to be sure.
3. After mms.cfg file is opened from notepad, add this code:
4. Save the file directly and I’m sure that crash which used to happen in the latest Adobe Flash Player won’t happen again :)
Why the trick above successfully stop crash?
You’d probably curious, why the trick above successfully stop crash happened in the latest Adobe Flash Player. The reason is, Adobe has added special Protected Mode feature for Mozilla Firefox, and this new feature is not fully compatible with the recent version of Firefox today.
By turning off the Protected Mode feature, crash problem which happened often would be no more. Adobe plan to fix this thing as soon as possible in the next update version of Flash Player. So just wait. If there’s another update, I will send the news soon. I hope it would be useful. :)
