Keyboard Shortcuts often made our performance faster because it’s able to shorten our time accessing something. For you who loved to work in front of computer often to browse something, now SOT will share keyboard shortcut tips for all browsers in Windows. It will help you a bit in operating browser to be faster and effective.
Ctrl+1 to 8 : you can exchange tabs easily according to tab sequences.
Ctrl+9 : you can directly jump into the last tab easily
Ctrl+Tab : change tabs to the right.
Ctrl+Page Up : change tabs to the right or after that, but in internet explorer, it couldn’t work.
Ctrl+Shift+Tab : exchange tab to the left.
Ctrl+Page Down : exchange tab to the left or before, but in internet explorer, it couldn’t work.
Ctrl+W or Ctrl+F4 : close an opened tab.
Ctrl+Shift+T : open a tab you’ve just closed.
Ctrl+T : open a new tab.
Ctrl+N : open a new browser’s window.
Alt+F4 : close browser’s window (it can be used in all application with similar functions).
Mouse’s center button or scroll : you can use it to open a new tab.
Ctrl+left click or Mouse’s center button : you can open link to a new tab but didn’t leave your current tab.
Shift+left click : by this you’ll be able to open a link to new browser’s window
Ctrl+Shift+left click : opened link to a new tab by moving you into the new tab
Alt+left arrow : back.
Alt+right arrow : foward.
F5 : re-open the site.
Ctrl+F5 : re-open the site but doesn’t use cache
Escape : stop.
Alt+Home : open browser homepage.
Ctrl and + or Ctrl+Scroll Mouse Up : do zoom in.
Ctrl dan – or Ctrl+Scroll Mouse down : to do zoom out.
Ctrl+0 : returning zoom mode into normal
F11 : do full screen mode.
Space or Page Down : by pressing this button on keyboard, you’ll get scroll down
Shift+Space or Page Up : you can do scroll up
Home : it will take you to the top side of page
End : it will take you to the bottom of page.
Click on the middle or Scroll : by clicking mouse button on center, you can do scroll fast whether to left, right, up or down.
Ctrl+L, Alt+D or F6 : without using mouse, you can directly go to URL bar and type an address..
Ctrl+Enter : it will add www. And .com in the address you typed on URL bar.
Alt+Enter : open URL address in URL bar in new tab.
Ctrl+K or Ctrl+E : to direct your pointer into search box. But Ctrl+K in IE couldn’t be done, use Ctrl+E.
Alt+Enter : do search by the result in new tab.
Ctrl+F or F3 : open find box to search sentence or word in page you opened.
Ctrl+H : to open history.
Ctrl+J : to open download history.
Ctrl+D : to bookmark site you’re opening right now.
Ctrl+Shift+Del : to clean history, download, cookies and cache.
Ctrl+P : do print for page you open.
Ctrl+S : save a page you open.
Ctrl+O : open file from your computer.
Ctrl+U : to open source code but it cannot be done in IE.
