Some save battery power, while others cost more power for battery. 7Tutorials did test to 5 types of browsers, they are Google Chrome 18, Firefox 11, Internet Explorer 9, Internet Explorer 10, and Opera 11

However, I myself prefer Opera 11 when my laptop battery get weak. It because Opera performance is far better than Internet Explorer. So, I can still save my battery power while get the most optimum browser’s performance.
What you should remember is: Don’t use Google Chrome when your laptop’s battery weak if you don’t want to go home immediately from your Hot Spot location :)
