How To Uninstall FileBulldog and Other Unwanted Toolbars on Mozilla Firefox

I don’t know which software that brought the crappy FileBulldog toolbars on my Firefox, but it has been really annoying for me. It changed the default search engine and the browser home page to several unwanted sites. For people who “attacked” by FileBulldog or any other toolbars, they could easily kick and remove it completely from their Firefox browser. There are three different way to remove and uninstall FileBulldog and any other toolbars on Firefox browser:

Unwanted Toolbars

1. Uninstall unwanted toolbar via its uninstaller.

Most of the toolbar has a built in uninstaller on its menu, simply find the uninstall menu from the toolbar and click it. However, this method is my last choice.

2. Uninstall unwanted toolbar via Firefox Add-ons Manager.

Simply go to “Firefox –> Add-ons” or press Ctrl+Shift+A to open Firefox Add-ons Manager. Go to the extensions tab and remove the unwanted toolbar.

3. Uninstall unwanted toolbar via Windows Control Panel.

If your operating system is Microsoft Windows OS, go to Start –> Control Panel –> Uninstall Programs. Select the unwanted toolbar and click on “Uninstall” button.

In most cases, removing toolbar through the Firefox isn’t enough to completely remove this crap. You should combine with method 3. So, after you have done with method 1 or 2, do method 3 and uninstall this crap from your system.

Uninstalling the toolbar doesn’t change the Firefox settings, even when it has completely uninstalled, The crappy home page and default search engine settings usually still left on the Firefox settings, so you should change it manually.

A. change the home page settings.

Go to Firefox –> Options –> Options, then change the Home page settings in “General” tab.

B. change the default search engine settings.

Click the down arrow on the Firefox search fields then select Manage Search Engine. Remove the crappy search engine and then set your favorite search engine as default.
