From all Windows version released by Microsoft, only Windows 8 can be said as totally different with others. You can see it by Start Screen which functioned to display all application you have. In default, Windows 8 gives four lines of Tile and no feature for you to manage the amount you wanted. But take it easy, SpyOnTech will give you ways how to set the amount of Windows 8 Tile as you wanted. Here’s the way.
First step, open Run program. To make it faster, use Win+R shortcut. Then type regedit and click on OK.
Then, quickly a new page of Registry Editor will be opened. You can directly search for key or folder HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > ImmersiveShell > Grid.
After you find it, click on key or folder Grid. Slide to the left panel, do right click on New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.
The command will create a new value or DWORD. Exchange the name with Layout_MaximumRowCount.
Early data value will show 0 (zero). Change it with new value. This step is to decide line amount in Start Screen later. Click on OK.
If all of these process are done, do Windows restart. Default display which only three lines.
Tadaa… now the amount of Windows 8 tile has changed as you decided before.
How about that? Easy, isn’t it? Although Windows 8 doesn’t provide feature for you to change line amount, but by the trick SpyOnTech given above, you can quickly and easily done it. I hope it would be useful.
