Free instant messenger user, Skype, recently report there’s a strange bug here. Here’s the story of the bug.
Let’s consider SOT is a Skype user, and A, B, C and D are in SOT’s contact list. A sends message to SOT and successfully sent. The weird is, C also receive the message, and it is written that SOT who has sent the message. It happened randomly… so, message from A can be sent to B, C, D or to other people in SOT’s contact list… under the name of SOT as sender.
It’s such confusing event, isn’t it?
It’s a strange bug and noticed when there was Skype update in previous June 2012.
The problem raised after this bug, surely related with privacy protection. It will be a big problem if the forwarded message contained sensitive things, such as company secret, personal secret, etc.
This Bug happened in Skype with version 5.10 for Windows, Skype 5.8 for Mac, Skype 4.0 for Linux, and Skype 1.2 for Windows Phone.
Skype party said they will do maintenance in some next few days and all Skype users are expected to update their Skype when there’s an update notification.
This bug can be disaster for a man who has affair. Just imagine, how if message from the mistress forwarded to the girlfriend’s account. Ouch… It would be world war III! Beware..!! #just_kidding :D
