CEO RIM: Android made PlayBook rich of applications

Although it’s late, Research In Motion (RIM) still confidence to enter in PC tablet market. It is proven by Android which is able to apply in Blackberry PlayBook, people assume that it will make PlayBook rich of application.

RIM President and Co-CEO Mike Lazaridis claimed if PlayBook is an amazing PC tablet. “Force we planted, has created one of computing mobile with the most interesting application experience today”, he stated on RIM official information.

Beside, Lazaridis continued, Java and Android application addition in PlayBook will make the user has more application choice also showed flexibility of an application platform.

As we know, RIM will release two ‘app players’ choices which will provide application environment for Java and Android 2.3. With this ability, PlayBook has ability to download and run a based-Java application or Android from BlackBerry App World.

PlayBook itself was built on QNX Neutrino microchmel architecture with machine strengthened with dual core 1GHz processor and adopt OpenGL solution.
PlayBook is scheduled to be released on April 19th 2011, firstly on US and Canada Market.
