Google Buys Single Letter Domain G.Co as Their New Shortened URL Service

Following Twitter with T.Co, Overstock with O.Co, Amazon with A.Co, Z.Co and K.Co, Google also buys G.Co. Google bought this single letter domain to build their official URL Shortcut. In the future, Google’s products like GMail, Google Docs, and other Google products might be using G.Co as their URL shortcut.

The representatives of .Co registry doesn’t tell anything about how much Google pay for G.Co domain name. But Juan Diego Calle, the Co-founder, said that single letter domains priced at more than $1.5 million.

Now G.Co has been online and it seems that it’s ready to use. Google will use it to shorten their products URL using g.co/[XYZproduct/service]

The .Co domain is become a popular domain TLD on silicon valley. It’s branded, short, cool and credible domain name. With only 10 months of existence, it’s hits 1 million registered domains. Awesome!
