Apple spoke person has confirmed, iPad 2 release to international market still follow the schedule decided, that is 25 March. Although it is sold out in US, Apple insist to release iPad 2 to other countries, this week. “All has written on Apple site in UK is correct. There stated (the release date) would be March 25, and that would gonna happened,” the spoke person stated as quoted by Apple Insider on Tuesday (22/3/2011).
Previously, there was news if Apple would decline the international release of iPad 2 since US selling far beyond expectation. Last week, Ticonderoga Securities Analyist, Brian White, questioned whether Apple able to prepare enough iPad 2 unit to market more than 25 countries.
Beside the consumer demand, speculation of iPad 2 release got higher after the great earthquake in Japan, previous time ago. 8.9 RS earthquake, and tsunami waves which destroyed Japan would disturb iPad 2 supply since delayed components shipping.
Although declare the delay of iPad 2 release in Japan to be “focused on disaster recovery”, Apple has no plan to cancel release plan in other countries.
iPad 2 planned to be released in countries like Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, German, Greek, Hungaria, Islandic, Ireland, Italy, Luxemburg, Mexico, Dutch, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and UK.
Meanwhile, Apple claimed that released plan on other countries would be announced further.
