Have you ever taken a picture of a document and you really want to make the picture into text? If write it manually, it will surely bother you. Moreover if words in that document is quite long. So, if you’re too lazy to re-type the sentence, Capture2Text will do it for you. Capture2Text is an application which change photo into text. By this way, you can copy text product into clipboard. After it is downloaded, you don’t have to do installation process, because this application is portable. You’d just have to extract it and double click on its exe file, then Capture2Text icon will be displayed on tray.

To do setting, right click on icon and select preferences.

After that, there will be a display like this image, and you’ll be able to do setting like hotkeys, OCR, Speech Recognition and Output. OCR language can be set too, this Capture2Text also support Indonesia language!

Then click on OK to apply the setting. To start using it, first of all, select the image you will take the text, then press on Windows+Q button to activate this Capture2Text. The next step would be blocking sentence you will take, then the sentence will be displayed on the upper left of screen. The sentence is the one which would be copied in clipboard.

To non activate the application, you’d just have to press Esc button or left click. Then open word and press Ctrl+V button, then the sentence will be appeared on your document. Not just copying sentences in image, but this application can be used to copy a voice too.

By using Capture2Text you can easily copy a text in an image by using OCR method. So you don’t have to waste your time typing it. There’s also other free OCR software like SimpleOCR, OCRconvert or Google Goggles.
