Several moments ago, there was an incident where some unknown ID, even probably our own friends in facebook, posted a link, which when we opened it ‘as if’ Facebook asked you to re-login and insert password. It was phising method, where if you successfully treated, the trapper will take over your account. In this online world, it will be dangerous, because it will threat your sensitive data, for example your bank account, personal email, etc. OMG! Then what should we do to overcome it?
To avoid this type of incident, you can use an online application named BitDefender Safego. This application will monitor scam and suspicious post possibility in your Facebook account and warn you for your own safety. This application also has option to release warning about suspicious posts directly to our friends’ wall so they will find it out and warn anyone who tried to click on the suspicious posts.
To install this application, you’ll just have to do direct installation online. You have to confirm Facebook first, that you allow BitDefender Safego to be installed into your account. As usual, there will be option so you don’t have to send news about the program installation if you don’t want to publish it to your friends.
BitDefender Safego dashboard displayed information about your Facebook security. This Dashboard will show recent post scanned, also identified if it was infected by malware or some kind of it. The item which identified as suspicious post will have a button on its right side, so you can warn your friends who posted the message (if in this case your friend’s account is hacked)
Under the dashboard, there are Friend o’Meter and quickscan features. Friend o’ meter will make you possible to find out how many friends run safego, so you would know it is safe to interact with them. You will also have facility to invite other friends to join. QuickScan button will present scan for PC to find possibility of malware.
If you’re interesting, then you can install BitDefender Safego via this link:
Although Facebook already have feature to avoid Phising, but along the rapid attack via Facebook, then this online apps will be so helpful for us. From SOT test, installing this application doesn’t have any influence to PC function or our Facebook. So, if you want to protect yourself from malware and suspicious post in Facebook, SOT suggested you to install BitDefender Safego. Previously, SOT also once discussed about how the security software is made, and a coincidence that BitDefender SafeGo also reviewed there.
